Draw For Yemen

Beschreibung

Draw for Yemen is a project in collaboration with Amnesty
UK which aims to raise awareness to the shocking number
of schools destroyed in Yemen over the last 4 years.
The project aims to put pressure on the British

government to stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia. Using
the visual language of tea towels given out at primary
schools, we engaged the public by asking them to draw
their own interpretation of a school and sign the petition.
The accumulation of these drawings provides a striking
visualisation of the number of schools destroyed in the
conflict.

The individual drawings were then stitched together
to create a larger tea towel and screen printed on smaller
ones to take with you, illustrating the public support of
halting arms deals with Saudi Arabia.
